Halfmoon Bay Fire Department Apparatus

Firehall #1

Pumper 1 – 1998 Freightliner FL80. 1050 GPM Hale Pump – 100gal of water. This is the primary engine for water supply during fire events and contains equipment for initial fire attack, water supply, and ventilation.
Tender 1 – 2022 Freightliner M2 – 1050 GPM Hale Pump – 1250gal water. This is our primary wildland fire engine and carries all over our wildland firefighting equipment, as well as initial fire attack, water supply and ventilation.
Engine 1 – 2008 GMC 5500 – 300gal water. This is our initial fire attack engine, capable of getting up steep, narrow driveways with 4×4. It carries equipment for initial fire attack, chimney fire, wildland fire, class A foam and small tools.

Rescue 1 – 2005 GMC C4500 – This apparatus is our primary First Responder/Medical response unit. It carries auto extrication/stabilization equipment, rope rescue equipment, medical aid kits, AED, oxygen as well as small tools and traffic control supplies.

Firehall #2

Engine 2 – 1999 Ford F550 – 250gpm Snuffer 8700 CAFS – This is the primary engine to respond from Firehall #2 and carries supplies for initial fire attack, auto extrication, and medical aid.
Engine 2-2 – 1985 GMC C3500 – 420gpm Snuffer 4500 CAFS – This is the second engine to respond from Firehall #2 and contains initial fire attack and water supply equipment. This engine was built for Expo 86 and is set to be retired at the end of 2025.

Command Units

Chief 1 – 2022 Ford F250 Super Duty – This vehicle is used primarily by the fire chief and contains medical aid equipment and traffic control supplies. It is generally the first unit on scene to assume command.
Car 2 – 2012 GMC Acadia – This vehicle is primarily used by the deputy fire chief and contains medical aid equipment and traffic control supplies. It is generally the first or second unit on scene to assume command.
